Fairzekering, rewarding safe drivers for safe driving

Fairzekering has a very simple ambition. By rewarding safe drivers for their safe driving behaviour, we want to encourage a lot less road accidents happening. Less accidents means less damage, which results in lower premiums. It all makes sense. We thought it wasn’t fair that safe drivers should pay the same premium amount as road-hogs and tailgaters, so we decided to do something about it. Our goal is to give our customers insight into their driving behaviour, so they can revise and/or adjust. This way they keep their own premium low.
And it doesn’t end at ‘fair’ car insurances. Our technology is perfectly able to be used with other insurances and services. In the future we will launch more products, but we initially wanted to focus on ‘fair’ car insurances, because this would give you most gain short-term. We have years of experience in the insurance business. That is exactly why we thought things could be different and we started in 2013. We want to constantly keep innovating our product, by looking at insurance differently.
Don’t do it differently because we can, but because it is fair.

Dutch FinTech Awards: Hans Gerritsen van Fairzekering over dynamic pricing
Na verschillende directiefuncties in het verzekeringswezen en ervaringen met dynamisch prijzen met behulp van telematica richtte Hans Gerritsen in 2013 met drie partners een eigen bedrijf op: Chipin. De Chipin is een stekker die autobestuurders in de zogeheten OBD-poort (On Board Diagnose) klikken en die vervolgens allerlei gegevens uitleest en meet. Bijvoorbeeld de status van de auto, remmen en accelereren, snelheid , locatie en tijdstip. Al die gegevens worden door slimme algoritmes vertaald in rijgedrag die een klant direct op zijn pc of app na elke rit kan zien. Lees verder...
